The restaurant
Proper home cooking.
The Auberge des Gorges du Loup is a traditional restaurant at Le Pont-du-Loup, in Tourrettes-sur-Loup, where everything has been made in-house since 1991. The menu changes with the seasons, the signature dishes stay, and you can eat in a dining room with a fireplace or on a 200-seat terrace facing the gorges.

Traditional, homemade cooking
Every dish is prepared on site by the chef and his team, using regional produce, meat above all. The cooking is traditional and family-style: familiar recipes, generously served, with no gimmicks or fads.
The menu changes through the year, with a summer and a winter version. There is a children's menu, and vegetarian or vegan dishes can be prepared on request.

What are the auberge's signature dishes?
Some dishes stay on the menu all year round: Tahitian-style marinated fish, baked snails with oyster mushrooms, flank steak, pork cheeks, beef fillet, duck leg and salmon. Only the sauce and the side dishes change with the menu.
So you will find your favourites whatever the season, which explains the many regulars Jean-Pierre knows by name. The Tahitian-style marinated fish is a quiet nod to French Polynesia, where the family comes from.

By the fire
A dining room with a fireplace and a terrace facing the gorges
The auberge has two dining rooms: the rustic restaurant with its large fireplace, and a room by the entrance where hotel breakfasts are served and which provides extra space. In winter, the log fire is part of the meal.
In fine weather, the 200-seat shaded terrace opens onto the Gorges du Loup. With 160 seats indoors, the auberge welcomes anything from lunch for two to a table of hikers or a family meal. Large tables and groups have their own page.

Set menus, à la carte and spit roasts
Choose from the à la carte menu or several set menus, including the Tables & Auberges de France menu, the Gourmet, Festive and Celebration menus, and group menus. Spit roasts must be ordered 24 hours in advance, depending on the season and availability.
The auberge is listed in the Petit Futé guide and belongs to the Tables & Auberges de France network. For Jean-Pierre, those two references are enough: the menu stays short and focused on what the kitchen does well.

Where is the restaurant in the Gorges du Loup?
The restaurant is at Le Pont-du-Loup, 4 route de Grasse, in the commune of Tourrettes-sur-Loup, where the gorge road leaves the valley. The hilltop village of Tourrettes is 8 km away, Grasse 12 km, Vence and Saint-Paul-de-Vence around 20 km, and Nice and Cannes under 30 km.
Free private parking for guests is right in front of the auberge. Please note: there is only one address, so there is no need to drive further up the gorge road, where turning round is difficult.
