The terrace
Lunch in the shade, the river below.
The terrace at the Auberge des Gorges du Loup has 200 shaded seats, at Le Pont-du-Loup, where the gorges open out onto the valley. It serves the same homemade food as the dining room, at lunch and, in the warmer months, at dinner, with the river Loup flowing below.

A shaded 200-seat terrace facing the gorges
The auberge's terrace is shaded by tall cypress trees and full of flowers in the warmer months. It looks out over the Gorges du Loup and the hilltop village of Gourdon, with the Loup flowing below.
With 200 seats, it can take a table for two just as easily as a party of twenty. Indoors, the dining room with its fireplace (160 seats) takes over on rainy days and in winter.

What's on the menu on the terrace?
The same menu as in the dining room: traditional homemade cooking with local produce. The signature dishes are on all year round: Tahitian-style marinated fish, baked snails with oyster mushrooms, flank steak, pork cheeks, beef fillet, duck leg and salmon.
The summer menu adds seasonal produce to these classics. There is a children's menu, and spit roasts can be ordered 24 hours in advance. You'll find the details on the page for our traditional restaurant in Tourrettes-sur-Loup.

Canyoning
Where to eat after canyoning in the Gorges du Loup?
At the auberge, in Le Pont-du-Loup, where the gorges end. The Gorges du Loup are among the best-known canyoning spots in the world, and the routes finish in the valley, a few minutes from the restaurant. Canyoning groups will find a big table, a hot meal and parking.
For a group, it is best to book, especially in July and August. For more than ten people, booking is essential; our group dining page sets out the options.

A stop for hikers, cyclists and motorcyclists
The trails in the gorges, the passes around Gourdon and Vence, the gorge road itself: the auberge is right on the way. Cyclists and motorcyclists stop for lunch before setting off again, or stay the night, since the hotel is above the restaurant.
Free private parking is in front of the auberge, with a secure area for motorbikes. The 5 rooms are described on the page for our hotel in Tourrettes-sur-Loup.

When is the terrace open?
The terrace is open in the warmer months, during restaurant hours: lunch from Tuesday to Sunday, 12pm to 2pm, and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, 7pm to 9pm. In summer, dinner on the terrace facing the gorges is the most sought-after slot.
Booking is recommended at weekends and in season. You can book online or call 04 93 59 38 01, mentioning that you would like a table on the terrace.
