The Auberge des Gorges du Loup hosts birthdays, christenings and communions for 15 to 200 people in Tourrettes-sur-Loup, without you having to hire the whole dining room. The house kitchen has been cooking family meals here since 1991, served on the terrace facing the gorges or by the fire in winter.
A family meal, from one long table to the whole dining room
For a birthday of 15 to 40 people, the auberge seats you at a long table in the dining room or on the terrace, alongside the other diners. For a larger christening or communion, part of the dining room is set aside for you. Beyond that, the whole dining room (160 seats) or the terrace (200 seats) is yours for the party.
You choose a seated meal or a buffet, at lunch or dinner, depending on the time of the ceremony and the ages of your guests.
Which menu for a birthday or communion?
A reception menu put together with the auberge's kitchen, based on our traditional homemade menu: regional meats, signature dishes such as pork cheeks, beef fillet or duck leg, and a celebration dessert. Spit-roasts must be ordered 24 hours in advance and always go down well with large tables.
A children's menu is available, which is handy for a communion or christening with lots of young cousins. Vegetarian or vegan dishes can be prepared on request.
Summer and winter
A terrace facing the gorges or a fireside dining room
In fine weather, the shaded terrace facing the Gorges du Loup hosts drinks and the meal outdoors, with the garden for the children and the family photos. In winter, the rustic dining room with its large fireplace gives a January birthday an atmosphere you won't find on the coast.
A free private car park in front of the auberge is reserved for customers, so the grandparents don't have to walk from the village.
How do I book a family celebration at the auberge?
Call 04 93 59 38 01 or send your request using the form, with the date, number of guests, preferred format and budget. The auberge will suggest a menu and send you a personalised quote.
For parties of up to around forty people, a direct booking is often enough. For larger meals, or to hire the venue exclusively, our page on private events explains how it works.
Keep the party going: stay the night
The auberge has 5 rooms, doubles and triples, above the restaurant. Guests who have come a long way, or the grandparents, can sleep on site and have breakfast on the terrace the next morning.
